Overview

English By Lorna Whiston Schools

Our English Enrichment classes made up of composition writing, reading comprehension, and stimulus-based conversations, focus on building the student’s vocabulary and developing proficient reading, writing, and comprehension skills. This is to ensure that your child is empowered with skills to succeed when they are given these tasks at school and beyond the classroom.

Speech and Drama By Lorna Whiston Schools

Drama is harnessed as a tool for learning as it involves the student emotionally, physically, intellectually, and socially. This offers your child to gain awareness and mastery over the use of their bodies and voice, building confidence in themselves.

Your child will be able to achieve better speech clarity and vocal expression through modeling and positive reinforcement while they progress through the terms with our Speak Up programme

Chinese by Hua Language Centre

Learning Chinese can be fun and effective, with Hua Language Centre’s 30 years award-winning programme. Developed with how a child’s brain learns while maintaining a level of motivation to keep children engaged, a fun curriculum does not affect the effectiveness of Hua’s programme.

This camp will also enhance their social skills, as they collaborate with others and share their knowledge and skills.

Creative Writing Camps

In our Actor’s Studio Camps, students collaborate to rehearse scripts of fun and innovative tales, undertake different roles in a play, and on the final day stage a stunning performance under the guidance of our Lorna Whiston Schools teachers. Our camps have a unique theme. The stories that the students have to act out are well-known tales but with a surprising twist! This makes it even more captivating for the students. Some of the themes include: Heroes, Magic, Aladdin, the Dental Clinic, Princes and Princesses.
